The problem
Original railings had been damaged and previous repairs left mismatched radii and rust bleed at the bases where fasteners contacted the deck without isolation.
Work performed
We templated the runs on board, fabricated new sections in 316 stainless, polished and passivated the welds, and reinstalled with isolating bushings, backing plates, and properly sealed penetrations.
Outcome
A seamless match to the original lines with no rust bleed after a full season in service.
