What owners, captains, and managers ask us most — answered plainly, before you call.

Helm electronics at sunset

Do you travel to my marina?

+

Yes. We work dockside across Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Miami, and the surrounding marinas, and we travel to The Bahamas on scheduled trips. If your slip is outside our daily radius, we plan the visit with parts staged in advance so the trip is productive.

Haul-out or dockside — which does my job need?

+

Most electrical, electronics, mechanical, and fabrication work is completed dockside with no lift fee. Haul-out is required for below-waterline work such as running gear, shafts, coatings, and through-hull replacement. We tell you which applies before scheduling, and we coordinate the yard if a lift is needed.

What is your response time for emergencies?

+

Urgent dockside calls in Fort Lauderdale are typically same day, with Miami and West Palm Beach same or next day depending on crew position. Call 561 · 229 · 9815 and describe the fault — we will tell you honestly when we can be there rather than promise a window we cannot hold.

Are you licensed and insured?

+

Yes. SolForge Marine is licensed and insured, and we carry the coverage marinas and yards require for dockside and on-board work. Certificates are provided on request before we come aboard.

How do you quote work?

+

For defined scopes we quote a fixed price. For diagnostic work — intermittent faults, unknown causes — we quote the diagnostic effort first, report findings with photos, then price the repair before proceeding. You approve the repair separately.

Do you work on commercial and industrial vessels?

+

Yes, through our sister company SolForge Mechanical, which handles commercial fleets, workboats, shipyards, and industrial facilities. Same standard and documentation, scoped for operators with schedules and compliance requirements.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance programs?

+

We build written maintenance calendars around how your vessel actually runs, execute the visits, and report each one with photos and findings. Owners and managers get one point of contact and a visible record of condition over time.

Which brands and systems do you work with?

+

Garmin, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Raymarine, Starlink, and NMEA 2000 networks are routine for us, along with custom 316 stainless and aluminum fabrication. If a system is unfamiliar, we say so rather than learn on your vessel.
